Bivona Decannulation Cap for Trach Tubes Smiths Medical REDCAP- Each.

Easy to use 15mm Red Cap works with all Bivona Trach Tubes with 15mm OD outer diameter.

Red plastic cap goes on top of the Tracheostomy Tube when the patient is ready to breathe unassisted without the ventilator.

Used when the patient is considered ready to be weaned off of the ventilator, the caregiver simply removes the ventilator tube and inner cannula, then pushes the Binova Decannulation Cap over the tip of the outer cannula.

This will close off the trach tube and allow air to follow the patient's natural airway to give them full control over breath and use of voice.

Make sure the cuff is not obstructing the patient's airway.
