General Purpose Syringes

When A Syringe has Little Round Grooves on the Tip, it is A Luer Lock Syringe because once we insert the needle on top, we Twist the Needle to Lock It into place Or in other words to form a Locked Connection. Luer Lock syringes are therefore more Secure and Ensure that the Medication does not leak and that the Needle does not get removed in error. Therefore Luer Lock syringes are preferred for Leakage Protection and for the fact that they prevent accidental removal of the needles. 

Luer Slip or Slip Tip Syringes, on the other hand, are even simpler. You simply push the Needle into the Syringe and you are ready to go. 

As far as Needles are concerned, Whether you are using Hypodermic Needles for Injection or Drawing Needles to draw up medication from vials, Most Needles work with Both Luer Lock and Luer Slip Syringes.
